Studio Solyn is a design practice working across products, objects, and spatial elements, developed through

a material-led approach.Each project begins by establishing the conditions of making, to determine proportion,

direction, and form. Processes are selected in response to the material, ensuring that surface, mass, and geometry

emerge directly from making rather than being applied. The studio’s work is grounded in systems of alignment,

balance, and spatial relation, producing objects that operate through clarity and long-term use.

Collection

Continuum

Continuum is Solyn’s first collection, developed as bridge between planetary scale and domestic use. Drawing from conditions of alignment, orbit, and spatial relations are translated into objects meant to exist in everyday space. Geometry is built from a controlled interplay of circle and line, where form is shaped by axis, curvature, and speed. The results are not symbolic figures but spatial conditions, elliptical, directional, or contained.

Brass and aluminium are used in parallel. Brass carries density and time, changing slowly through oxidation and use. Aluminium remains lighter and more immediate, reflecting light with precision. The same geometries behave differently by extending the system across these materials.

Light follows form rather than defining it. Illumination registers how mass is held, how direction is set, and how space is opened or contained. Across the collection, light reveals structure quietly, without spectacle.

Continuum / Parallax

Parallax is a horizontal lighting system made of three aligned elements. Each opening is oriented differently, introducing variation within a fixed line. Light extends outward and overlaps across the surface. Order comes from alignment; difference comes from direction. Illumination builds in layers rather than symmetry.
